Rose-Hill–Quatre-Bornes by Metro Express
The Mauritian Metro Express network is expanding. Last June 20, the Rose-Hill–Quatre-Bornes axis was put into service six months behind schedule due to the health crisis. It is an extension of the Port-Louis–Rose-Hill axis, inaugurated at the end of 2019 and attended by 3,7 million travelers during the first 18 months of operation. In 2022, the rails of the Mauritian tramway should reach Curepipe.
Reprise a minima pour Air Mauritius
Four flights per week to Paris and three to Reunion until the end of the year, a weekly rotation to London starting October 1st : Air Mauritius, under voluntary administration (judicial recovery) will only play a modest role in the hoped-for reopening of Mauritius to travelers (vaccinated). Dirty money : Maurice wants to redeem himself
La Financial Services Commission (FSC), regulatory body of the Mauritian financial services sector, prepares to host a pivotal mission from the Financial Action Task Force, the intergovernmental body for the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism which placed Mauritius on its “gray list” a year and a half ago. On August 12, the FSC launched a platform for digitizing procedures to guarantee transparency.. The digital tool aims to convince the FATF to take a lenient decision concerning Mauritius at its next plenary assembly, in October.
