After the success of the Précieuse collection, celebrating whales and marking Mascarin’s collaboration with the scientific association Globice, the Réunion chocolatier has decided to repeat this operation next year. This time he is calling on professional and amateur Reunion artists to imagine the next visual for the 2025 collection..

From July 22 to August 31, Mascarin offered an ephemeral collection celebrating whales, now many are heading to Reunion Island during the southern winter. The visual of the collection was created by Vincent Bac, illustrator and artistic director of the Livingstone agency. This operation also marked the launch of the brand's collaboration with the Globice association., which works for the study and protection of cetaceans. Faced with public enthusiasm, Mascarin has decided to repeat this operation next year. “Faced with the enthusiasm encountered during the 2024 edition, we have decided to perpetuate this beautiful operation. Of course, our partnership with Globice continues. We are proud to be able to contribute on our scale to the knowledge and preservation of this species”, indicates Frédéric Auché, Chairman and CEO of Mascarin.

Two visuals for the 2025 collection

In order to go further in this awareness-raising process, the company wishes to involve the people of Reunion Island in the development of the design of the next collection. Two designs will be selected. A call for projects was launched on October 9 for professional or amateur Reunion artists. They have until November 12 to present their portfolio. Eleven artists will be selected and will have to create works on the theme of whales. A jury made up of Globice and Mascarin employees will choose one of the visuals. “Reunion residents will also be able to vote via social networks among the ten remaining visuals and thus contribute to the selection of the second winner”, indicates Frédéric Auché. The Réunion Higher School of Arts will play a key role in the evaluation and selection of works, thanks to the expertise of its director, Julien Cadoret, who will sponsor the event. The two winners will win a prize worth 1,500 euros in addition to seeing their work on the chocolate boxes and bars..
