On the occasion of the launch in Reunion of its Limited Series range, Maison Castel organized at Villa Fleurié, in partnership with the Réunion Society for the Study and Protection of the Environment (SREPEN), a charity brunch intended to support the actions of the association for Reunion biodiversity.
This brunch is the first act of a partnership that Maison Castel wishes to perpetuate for the common commitment of the two organizations in favor of the preservation of the natural heritage of the island., but also to promote its own approach towards sustainable development. Indeed, Maison Castel is involved in environmentally friendly viticulture, it promotes responsible practices such as Terra Vitis and AB certifications among its partner winegrowers. The Maison Castel Limited Series are rare wines making up an exclusive collection that celebrates the French art of winemaking through prestigious terroirs. They were specially created by Cédric Jenin, winemaker of Maison Castel. In the meeting, participants have the opportunity to contribute to a philanthropic sale of a unique box of six bottles of these exceptional wines. All funds raised will be used to support the actions of SREPEN. This charity brunch took place in the presence of renowned personalities from the gastronomic and wine world.. Eudes Morgan, general director of the cellars Nicolas France, Florent Jonquille, best sommelier in Reunion 2024, as well as Dennys Lecoanet, head sommelier at Villa Fleurié. For David Cailleux, director of Castel in Reunion, “It’s a commitment that we make, because we firmly believe that everyone has a role to play in the preservation of natural resources”. “Each initiative like this contributes to raising public awareness of the importance of local biodiversity and gives us the means to carry out our actions on the ground”, for her part, welcomed Paulette Dubard, president of SREPEN.
