The Council of Europe has officially approved the renewal of the dock dues regime, applicable in the five French overseas departments from 1is January 2022, until 2027. “The new rules adopted will allow a greater number of local products to benefit from tax differentials, which can go up to 20% or 20%, according to their nature, welcomed the government. The updating of the lists thus concerns 90 new codifications, corresponding to 635 new types of products. otherwise, the threshold for liability to dock dues will increase from 300,000 to 550,000 euros of turnover. This is a significant financial and administrative burden less for the companies concerned”.
