Beauty hygiene goes solid

The solid boom is immense and revolutionizing the hygiene and beauty segments. Everyone is won over by this new reduced format which is good for the ecology.

In 2021, the turnover of solid cosmetics reached 85 million euros, an amount down compared to 2020, but 14% higher than in 2019. All brands are trying it. Without water and therefore without preservatives, lighter, more concentrated and smaller, solid becomes standard in all categories (toothpaste, dishwashing detergent, parfum, shampoo…). In this matter, the dilution which passes through powders, pellets, even drops, is the royal road to innovation. This is the next solid ! The same advantages (weight, prix, performance) with new gestures and new sensorialities. Besides the texture, dilution equals true innovation, because it goes hand in hand with the charging system, which further limits our carbon and plastic footprints. Another proof of the advent of ecology-pedagogy, which combines sensoriality and sustainability.

Circularity becomes an art of living
the era of recyclable, reusable, biodegradable replaces disposable, in a world of finite resources. The zero waste trend, zero waste, renews consumption in general and organic in particular. It's not just about recycling, but to sublimate, this is the definition of upcycling or surcycling. Waste and co-products are recovered and become valuable raw materials for products, but also packaging. A virtuous circle whose brands, but also individuals, are the artisans giving second lives to products.
