The average rate for home loans stood at 3,28% au 4e trimestre 2023, up 39 basis points from the previous quarter, announces Iédom.
This rate, however, remains lower than the average rate in France (3,45 %). The average duration of home loans reaches 22 years, for an average loan amount of 132,600 euros. The average rate of new personal loans and other consumer credits increased by 36 basis points in the 4th quarter., at 5,65 %, i.e. +179 basis points over one year. On a national level, this rate reaches 6,08 %. The average duration of personal loans is just over five years, for an average amount of 16,500 euros. The average overdraft rate is also on the rise (16,32 %) and significantly higher than the national average (6,93 %) and that in the other overseas departments.
