Despite inflation (+9,1% on food products in one year), the ceiling of the quality-price shield (Ministry of National Defense) legally set at 348 euros in 2023 is respected by all brands, with an average price of 343,8 euros which has not changed since its implementation last April, announced the prefecture at the end of September.
According to the 27 checks carried out since April, improvements continue in display and markup, in accordance with the commitments made by the brands at the end of last year. The poster is more visible at the entrance to the store, and better labeling is observed on the shelves. The most notable improvement is the significant reduction in the number of stock outs observed in stores.. It was on average 15% before the Covid crisis, it then rose to 20% before falling to 12% during the last checks. The success of DIY BQP is also confirmed, six months after its implementation. A ceiling price of 290,60 euros is noted for a list of 20 products, and display and marking commitments are respected by all brands. Progress was noted on product availability compared to the previous wave of controls, in June.
