Eric Dupond-Moretti, Keeper of the Seals, Justice Ministry, went to Dijon on April 25, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the National School of Grafts, who organized several events over three days.

For half a century, the National School of Registries (ENG) trains and supports future judicial service registry agents. These professions, essential to the proper functioning of justice, benefit from massive recruitment within the framework of the justice programming law. 1,800 clerk positions will be created by 2027. Since 1974, the ENG provides training for directors of judicial registry services, clerks, secretaries and administrative assistants. In fifty years, more than 30,000 people have been trained in ENG through the initial route. Rigorous and essential training. The clerk is the guarantor of the procedure, he authenticates judicial documents, assists the magistrate in the preparation of files and in prosecution actions. Intermediary between lawyers, the public and the magistrates, it creates the link between the legal world and citizens. This indispensable role of court clerks is today recognized by an unprecedented action by the Ministry of Justice in favor of the professional status of court clerks.. Since 2021, 57 million euros were devoted to the category revaluation of specific transplant bodies, allowing an average increase of around 25% in remuneration since 2015. Véronique Court, director of ENG, welcomes the fact that “since its foundation, our school has been both a pillar, a home and a benchmark of knowledge and professionalism, a melting pot of skills training generations of experienced and committed clerks. We have lived through times of change, innovation and challenges, but our commitment to quality has remained constant. Our school is a place of excellence, of innovation and exemplarity. »

Better pay
The memorandum of understanding on court registry professions signed on October 26, 2023 by the Minister of Justice and the trade union organizations allows unprecedented financial advances for clerks and opens up a more attractive career path for them.. Index increases and access to category A are already implemented : in three years, there are 3,200 clerks, or 25% of the body, who will reach category A, allowing them to gain, per month, generally between 365 and 530 euros gross. For further, Éric Dupond-Moretti was also committed to the creation of a new outlet body in category A, and this is done today with the ongoing finalization of the decree relating to the creation of the “registrar executives” body., expected reform which will allow approximately 25% of the corps to access a category A employment corps.
