As with each edition of Franchise Expo, Leader Réunion went to feel the pulse of the franchise in Paris last month. Most of the brands that set up in Reunion come from mainland France and Europe.. What we like about franchising, it is of course its modernity, but also that it embodies the human dimension of the desire to undertake. The primary motivation of new franchisees, it is to give or restore meaning to their existence. We see this in the number of professional reconversions which characterize franchise candidates.. Professional change of direction, change of horizon, change of life. The franchise, by its proven model, by the support and notoriety of the franchisor who stands behind, appears to be the most reassuring solution for launching into entrepreneurship. Not that everything is won in advance, far from there, as with any business.
But looking at the Reunion example, we see that, Ultimately, failures are relatively rare. Most franchises that have established themselves locally are established and continue. New franchising trends also reflect a motivation found among many franchise candidates. : the need to act in accordance with one’s values, and it is of course ecological and responsible trade that I am thinking of. Franchises linked to organic, promoting respect for the environment, promoting well-being in general, have the wind in their sails. A good thing to remember, this is what retail owes to franchising, especially in city centers, particularly in Reunion. The days of rivalry between city center businesses and suburban shopping centers are behind us. And franchises were one of the solutions to the problem by establishing themselves in the city center and on the outskirts.
