The medium-capacity charming hotel model, characteristic of Reunion, modernizes and reaches the heights with the upcoming opening of Sarana in Salazie, and the Wood Hotel project & Trois-Bassins Spa, work on which has just begun for an opening planned for 2023.
Discreet luxury of durable construction offering comfort, elegance and well-being : the future four-star establishment falls into the category of new generation charming hotels. With panoramic ocean views, surrounded by savannah, this four-star establishment located high between Souris Blanche and Grande Ravine is made mainly of wood. It will include 84 junior and senior suites, five villas, a restaurant with 100 seats (highlighting Creole cuisine) and a large 50-meter infinity pool. Its bioclimatic structure in burnt and natural wood and green roofs is designed by the Franco-Mauritian architect Éric Chavoix. The place is primarily aimed at local customers for short and medium stays., relaxing days, lunches and dinners, or to enjoy the spa. It will also attract a national and international clientele, and business tourism, sensitive to the luxury of a certain sobriety and respectful of the environment and people. Le Wood Hotel & Spa will be a four-star model in terms of sustainable development.
An investment of 28 million euros
The creation of 42 direct jobs is planned. The project intends to reconcile performance and well-being at work with participatory management. The Wood hotel & Spa is also a signatory of the Trois-Bassins Territorial Food Project. It will promote local products. The hotel is aiming for European Ecolabel certification by AFNOR upon its opening. The investment amounts to 28 million euros. The project is led by Yvan Mainix (former founder of the Fibers company which will supply the wood species with which the hotel will be built), Jean-Louis Gaillard, Christian Wolff et Jacques Lestrade. Management will be entrusted to Shaheda and Christian Wolff (Cote Sun Hotels).
