From the next academic year, next August, Réunion will offer the entire health study course and will be able to issue the in-depth training diploma in medical sciences at the end of the 2025-2026 academic year.. So far, the University of Reunion only offered the first cycle and the third cycle of internship at the CHU. Reunionese medical students continued their second cycle courses in mainland France, within around thirty faculties, within the framework of conventions. Last May 11, the university's board of directors voted to accredit the opening of a second cycle on the island, in the new premises of the Pierre campus : 50 students will be able to follow this three-year course of study.
