The number of job seekers required to look for one and without activity (category A) averaged 119,480 in the third quarter of 2022, number down by 1,1% compared to the previous quarter and 6,7% over one year. By adding those who carried out an activity over the period, the number of unemployed rises to 155,260, down by 0,5% over a quarter and 3,2% over one year. In category A, the number of job seekers under 25 years old decreases by 0,6% over the quarter and 4,3% over one year. The decline is a little more marked among 25-49 year olds (-1,2% over the quarter, -8,6% over one year) and settles at -1,2% over the quarter and -4,2% over one year for those over 50. The number of category A unemployed registered for one year or more decreases by 2,2% over the quarter and 9% over one year, while the number of registered for less than a year increases by 1,6% over the quarter and 4,9% over one year.
