The number of job seekers registered in category A (required to look for work and without activity) at Pôle Emploi was on average 119,080 in the fourth quarter of 2022 in Reunion. The decline is limited (-0,3 %) compared to the previous quarter, but significant over one year (-6,1 %). She is more modest (-2,4% over one year) if we take into account other categories of job seekers, especially those who were able to exercise activity over the period. The decline in unemployment is significantly more pronounced in the Antilles : -12,1% in Guadeloupe and -11,3% in Martinique, in category A over one year. It is more modest in Guyana (-3,6 %). Very marked in previous years, the drop in the number of young unemployed (under 25 years old) is now lower than that of other age groups : -0,7% over one year in category A, against -7,9% for those aged 25-49 and -4,9% for seniors. Over the last quarter of 2022, the number of job seekers registered without interruption with Pôle Emploi for a year or more in all categories has decreased by 2,3 % (-9,6% over one year), while that of those registered for less than a year increased by 3,4 % (+7,3% over one year). Registrations at Pôle Emploi for redundancy increased by 22% in the last quarter. The number of file outputs for entry into internship or training increased by 19,6 %, while benefits for resumption of employment have fallen to 0,5 %.
