The Regional Agency for the Improvement of Working Conditions (Aract) has just published the results of a study which confirms the strong development of the use of teleworking in Reunion Island. At the request of DEETS (Department of Economy, employment, work and solidarity), Aract interviewed 104 people in four sectors of activity (banking and insurance, real estate, personal services and construction from March to September 2021. Globally, teleworking increased from 3% to 30% of working time between the start and end of the period, during which 78% of people surveyed say they have worked from home 1 to 3 days per week on average. All sectors combined, 67% of respondents in real estate, construction and personal services believe they have not been supported, nor trained. 84%, all sectors combined, say they have suitable digital tools 85% of teleworking employees do so from home, others in third places.
