On April 9, the Garden of Eden will host the Offervehicules.re Show, first event dedicated to the purchase and sale of vehicles between individuals in Reunion. A meeting which will be renewed every second Sunday of each month.
This is a first on the island. Bring together individuals who wish to buy or sell their vehicles in a flea market spirit, in a place to meet, exchange and carry out transactions face-to-face and in complete transparency. « Meet the seller, be able to walk around the vehicle and exchange, this reassures buyers a lot. Unlike this that we believe, not everyone uses the Internet to buy their vehicle”, explains Christophe Charrin, offer organizervehicules.re. Around 300 vehicles (200 cars and 100 motorcycles) individuals will be displayed on site for sale. “It’s as if you had Le Bon Coin gathered in one place. People who want to sell their vehicles, register on our website www.offresvéhicules.re and reserve a space for the morning, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a price of 29 euros (59 euros if the reservation is made on site the same day and subject to availability). They must have a registration document in their name. Entrance is free for buyers and they can leave immediately with their new acquisition or reserve it with a deposit.. » Prices are set by sellers. No commission is paid to the organization. On the other hand, buyers will not be able to test drive vehicles for safety and insurance reasons.
Professional advice
A specific space positioned at the entrance to the fair will be reserved for professionals. Buyers will be able to benefit from neutral advice to make their purchase. “We have partners recognized for their experience and know-how who will be present, for car and motorcycle insurance, technical control, automaton-school training, vehicle rental, dealers, automobile agents, equipment manufacturers, also the French Federation of Angry Bikers will be there. Without forgetting a catering area. The idea is to have a wide range available to visitors so that they can find what they are looking for., even if we want this show to remain above all a place for exchange between individuals”, indicates the event manager who expects 1,500 people for this first edition.
