May 2004, Aisha Allee takes on an ambitious challenge : create a communications and public relations agency in an emerging market, Mauritius. Twenty years and hundreds of projects and campaigns later, Blast BCW has become a key player in communication in Mauritius, as well as in Reunion, where the agency has been based since 2017, and in the African region.
Blast BCW was founded in May 2004, in Mauritius, by Aisha Allee, with the aim of offering companies personalized and comprehensive support in terms of communication. The agency is the sole representative for the Indian Ocean islands of Burson Cohn & Wolfe (BCW), international network present in 110 countries. Multiple award-winning agency, Blast BCW meets the communication needs of customers located in the Indo-Oceanic region. After the Seychelles, the company settled in Reunion in 2017. It also offers its services in Mayotte, in the Comoros and Kenya. “Blast has always been and remains an incredible human adventure above all. We meet great people every day, have built strong relationships with our clients and developed new strategies. We have adapted to the evolution of technologies and the industry and, Above all, we continually advocate a culture of excellence and innovation. This is what has made us strong and successful over the years.. We wanted to share this important moment in our history with our customers, our service providers and our team, without whom we would not exist. We would like to once again thank them all for believing in us.”, said Lekha Seebaluck, director of the agency, the 4th from, during the birthday.
Creative innovation as a driving force
The event was held at the House of Digital Art (HoDA), in Port Louis. This place was not a trivial choice, said Aisha Allee, founder and CEO of Blast BCW, because the genesis of the company, in 2004, was done in a very small office on rue Auguste-Ruget, in the heart of the Mauritian capital. “We wanted to invite our guests to HoDA because this place resembles us : it is a place where creativity and beauty mingle, interconnectivity and pragmatism, reality and imagination, history and technology. Besides, in the years to come, everything will be played with technology. And we are committed to continuing our investments in creative innovation, to understand the expectations of our customers and to evolve with technological advances, while taking into account economic issues, social and environmental”, she pointed out.
Unwavering determination and a bold vision
To do this, the agency intends to give its employees the means to grow and achieve “excellence”, by providing them with a stimulating environment and opportunities, such as training and conferences with international experts, to develop their skills and realize their ambition. “We are committed to continuing to push the boundaries of innovation and redefining the standards of excellence. We are now focused on the next twenty years and look to the future with renewed conviction, unwavering determination and a bold vision”, said Aisha Allee and Lekha Seebaluck. After the protocol part, where the tandem wanted to thank each of its customer partners and members of its team, guests were invited to visit a HoDa exhibition, one of whose immersive rooms hosted a Blast BCW production.
Aisha and Lekha : the mutual homage of perfect understanding
The partnership between Aisha Allee and Lekha Seebaluck dates back to 2005, a little over a year after the founding of Blast BCW. Lekha had just finished her studies in the UK…
“Aisha and I, it stuck straight away ! I still remember our first meeting. I was touched by his humility, but above all by his passion and his determination. There are these encounters in life that inspire you, guide you and push you to always go further, to aim higher. Aisha Allee is one of them. Blast was just a start-up at the time, but I had faith in its potential”, raconte Lekha Seebaluck. Ensemble, the two women passionate about the world of communication, corporate and events, will work hard to make Blast a recognized agency, but also rewarded on multiple occasions at the national level, regional, but also international. “I sincerely believe that the arrival of Lekha has greatly changed the situation for Blast. Blast wouldn't have been Blast without her, and today I would like to express all my gratitude and all my love for having trusted me twenty years ago.”, concludes Aisha Allee, with emotion.
