Reunion Island Roland-Garros airport won an Airport Service Quality Award in mid-March in the “Africa zone” category for the quality of health measures implemented in 2021. This award is awarded each year by travelers, as part of a survey organized by Airport Service Quality, the engineering department of the Airports Council International, at 400 airports in 95 countries. Roland-Garros airport is one of the 46 highest-rated platforms, around the world, in the field of health measures linked to Covid-19. Since the start of the pandemic, airports around the world are mobilized to guarantee the health safety of their facilities and verify the effectiveness of their practices. Early 2021, Reunion airport was one of the first in France to obtain Airport Health Accreditation, granted by the Airports Council International to platforms implementing optimal measures to prevent the spread of the virus.
