CIRAD, the state, the Region and the Department of Réunion have recommitted together until 2027, by renewing a strategic scientific cooperation agreement in October.
“This new agreement concerns priority scientific activities in agricultural research to be carried out from 2023 to 2027. It is a continuation of the 2015-2022 quadripartite framework agreement while proposing an adaptation of our organization”, explains Éric Jeuffrault, regional director of CIRAD. CIRAD’s research and activities on the island are organized in the form of three “partnership programming systems” : Health and Biodiversity, CapTerre (agroecological and energy transitions) and Sadur (Sustainable food system in an island environment).
