The Surprising, a light Clairette de Die

Jaillance, leader in multi-terroir sparkling wines (hors champagne), presents a naturally light sugar version of its emblematic vintage : Clairette de Die.

Considered one of the oldest sparkling wines in the world, Clairette de Die (blend of small grain white muscat and white clairette) was already drunk in Antiquity. Recognized in France as Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée since 1942, Clairette de Die Jaillance has the particularity of being vinified according to the “ancestral Dioise method” which gives it a natural effervescence, sweetness and delicate fruity aromas. This particular vintage is less sweet due to its longer fermentation. The sugars naturally present in grapes ferment to reach 8,5 degrees of alcohol and the residual sugar is thus reduced by half. La Surprenante thus offers a soft and slightly sweet sensation in the mouth while being fresh and fruity.. It is characterized by a pretty light yellow color with delicate bubbles.. At nose, it reveals sweet notes of orange blossom and peony. In mouth, it expresses a beautiful length and ends with gourmet notes of mandarin. This wine flourishes under the generous sun of the Drôme Valley, sheltered from the foothills of the Vercors.
