The journey since 1962, Brasseries de Bourbon celebrated it, ten years ago, celebrating his 50th birthday. A work retracing the history of the company since its very beginnings was published at the time. Also it is towards the future that the speech of the general director of Brasseries de Bourbon, Edwin Botterman, was filmed during the 60th anniversary of the Reunion brewery, last month. The concomitant inauguration of the new brewing room at the Quai Ouest factory in Saint-Denis was confirmation of this. Good that M. Botterman stressed that the Dodo recipe has remained unchanged for sixty years, it is indeed a new page in the history of the brewery that this investment symbolically opens, as well as all the other investments of recent years and those to come. With the modernization of industrial tools, it is the ways of working that are changing. Furthermore, with this industrial renewal, Brasseries de Bourbon gives itself the means to produce locally, in the future, beers previously imported. We of course think of Heineken… but the general director of the company, by evoking this ambition, did not comment specifically on this point. In the interview he gave us, Edwin Botterman nevertheless returns to the different aspects of the period which is opening for Brasseries de Bourbon.

And what emerges is the portrait of a company that has evolved a lot. A diversified company which is also the leading producer of sodas in Reunion with, notably, Coca Cola. Between own brands, locally produced brands and imported brands, the Brasseries de Bourbon portfolio today includes 22 names, among the most famous drinks on the planet. But I cannot conclude this editorial without pointing out an event that directly concerns us, since Leader Réunion is one of the partners. I want to talk about StratCo Run, the first commercial strategy congress organized in Reunion. November 16th, this congress will bring together decision-makers from commerce and industry for a day of discussions which promises to be of high quality given the program. The international context, national et local, makes this meeting particularly timely and I invite you to follow the conferences and debates.
