The Reunion and Guadeloupe livestock sectors signed a partnership agreement on June 26 aimed at supporting the structuring of the animal sectors in Guadeloupe. L’IGUAVIE (Guadeloupean meat and livestock inter-professional association) wishes to draw inspiration from the model of Reunion inter-professional associations, notably from ARIBEV (Reunion Island Interprofessional Livestock Association, meat and milk), which constitutes a unique model in France. As a reminder, l’ARIBEV, structured since 1975, brings together all the players in each of the livestock sectors : the producers, le provendier, transformers, importers and distributors, with state support.
