In January 2021, the institute of business administration (IAE) Of the reunion, university school of management, launched at the request of, and in collaboration with, GBH a professional commerce and distribution license certified Distrisup. Goal : train future department and store managers. The graduation ceremony for GBH employees of the first two promotions gave all stakeholders the opportunity, public and private, of this training to celebrate its success.

The Distrisup professional license is offered in mainland France by 18 universities associated with major retail players.. A diploma course and a label recognized by the large-scale retail sector. The needs of commercial executives are such that the objective of this license is to train both professionals already working in companies and young people continuing their studies after the baccalaureate.. This work-study training covers the three skills sought in distribution : trade, management and management. If the establishment of Distrisup in Overseas was done at the initiative of the Bernard Hayot group in the Antilles, then to Reunion and soon to Mayotte, training is not reserved for GBH employees. It is open to everyone. Satisfaction was therefore general for the presentation of diplomas to GBH employees who were part of the classes of 2021 and 2022. For GBH as for the IAE and the university, the ceremony was an opportunity to congratulate themselves on their collaboration, in the presence, especially, by Michel Lapeyre, Managing Director GBH Indian Ocean and Africa, and the president of the University of La Réunion, Frédéric Miranville.

Internal promotion and recruitment
June 3, the actors of this success followed one another on the stage of the Maurice-Cérisola amphitheater of the IAE. Pascal Picard, director of the institute, recalled the challenge of setting up this license in three months in 2021. Pascal Chavignat, human resources director of GBH, reiterated how the needs of the group's subsidiaries remained numerous and varied. The Distrisup license gives employees the opportunity to progress within the company and young people to start with a permanent contract : in total, in the overseas departments, 80 Distrisup diplomas were issued, including around forty in Reunion. François Haquin, director of OPCO Akto, partner of work-study financing, welcomed the operation. Just like Anne-Laure Hoarau, territorial delegate of OPCO Commerce, other partner, herself a former student of the IAE. “We have a duty of training towards our employees”, underlined for his part Amaury de Lavigne, Director of Large Retail Indian Ocean GBH. But the most telling testimonies were those of several students who, thanks to the Distrisup license, have evolved and now occupy positions of responsibility within GBH brands.
