Huguette Bello, president of the region, presented the territorial brand “La Réunion” on May 2, fruit of a broad consultation organized by the community since 2023.
The name of the island comes with a slogan (“Meeting worlds” in French, « Meeting the world » en anglais) and a logo evoking both the influence and the meeting point that is Reunion. The “La Réunion” brand thus aims to raise awareness and better promote the image of the territory on foreign markets., via a strong identity, common promotional tools and targeted actions responding to local development challenges. It was presented in Paris during a press conference on May 21, on the eve of the opening of the Vivatech innovation fair where it topped the Region’s stand. Eight “young shoots” from Reunion benefited from support from the community to participate in this event. “Beyond the economic field alone, the brand is a tool for all local players who wish to use it, and more particularly those engaged in an export or internationalization process of products, expertise, companies and talents from Reunion Island”, specifies the Region.
