The Réunion Region promotes its various measures for young people. She was notably at the Student Fair organized by the JIR at the beginning of March at NORDEV to present them.
Orientation, formation, all the aid that young people can mobilize for their studies in Reunion or on the move : several community agents mobilized to present the measures and assistance put in place by the Region so that young people can benefit from support improving study conditions and their daily lives. Partners such as the Cité des Métiers were also present on the stand to answer orientation questions. The Region first supports young high school students through the POP, tuition assistance or even pei meals offered in school restaurants. This support for study paths continues through aid (at installation, upon registration, to the equipment…) allowing you to study in Reunion, in a city, in Europe or other foreign countries. Competent in training, the community also supports young Reunion Islanders through the training voucher, as well as of course by financing training centers, such as AFPAR, the City of Trades, the 2nd chance school… Finally, she is involved in the implementation of the map of initial training from CAP to BTS level in the island’s high schools.
Special Covid aid
To note that, as part of the adaptations of teaching to the health crisis, the Region has set up “internet connection assistance” for students. Assistance in financing the internet connection so that the student can study remotely. This assistance is aimed at scholarship students. otherwise, the community launched in February, as part of the territorial continuity system, the “special Covid student voucher” assistance with the purchase of a return plane ticket to Reunion, intended for students on mobility in mainland France or abroad wishing to temporarily return to the island.
