With brands as familiar as Bonux, O'Cedar, Bar or Minidou, the Heritage SME, housekeeping specialist, puts iconic products back on the shelves. But its founders have completely revised the formulas so that these everyday products are as free as possible from components harmful to humans and the environment..
Bonux, O'Cedar, We learned, I wonder, Décap’Four, Minidou, Strength and Earth : we owe the revival of these once so famous products to Héritage. The SME took over eight heritage brands from the three drugstore categories, cleaning and washing. Based in Nanterre, in Hauts-de-Seine, Héritage was created in December 2021 in Paris by Richard Lerosey and Daniel Chassagnon, two experts in the detergent and consumer products market. By giving new life to these iconic brands, the company intends to make its contribution to a healthier lifestyle, both for consumers and for the planet. Héritage places the most responsible approach possible at the heart of its approach.. Say goodbye to plastic and excess packaging. Relaunching brands as iconic as O’Cedar or Baranne is part of a sustainability approach, encouraging consumers to extend the life of their goods instead of throwing them away and replacing them.
A complete overhaul of contents and containers
“We strive to be as demanding as possible in the selection of the ingredients used. In order to guarantee the best possible safety, the company defines, for each of its products, a list of ingredients to exclude from formulas”, declares Isabelle Flory, company research and development director. For exemple, the Minidou and Bonux brands do not contain any CMR material (carcinogens, mutagenic or reprotoxic), no endocrine disruptors identified, nor allergens or preservatives that could harm health. The company is also revolutionizing the way it designs packaging : “The O’Cedar aerosol caps are now made of FSC-certified cardboard, guaranteeing sustainable forest management, which saves 11,2 tonnes of plastic per year while ensuring the solidity and preservation of the product”, cites Richard Lerosey as an example, founder of the company. Bonux also favors more responsible materials, such as paper and cardboard, for the packaging of its detergent powders and capsules. Minidou products are, as far as they are concerned, made with 97% natural ingredients, free from palm oil derivatives.
Brands that last longer
By giving these old brands the environmental dimension they lacked, Héritage took the lead without waiting for the Toxi-Score to be implemented, the future government labeling system aimed at assessing the risks of consumer products, to put the safety of its consumers and the environment at the top of its concerns. His message to younger generations : “Héritage offers consumers safe values with effective products with more responsible and healthier formulas. By consuming better, these reduce their environmental impact, just like Heritage, taking care of the brands, to last longer. »
LEGACY IN FIGHT AGAINST TOXICITY OF CARE PRODUCTS
World Health Organization data highlights growing concern : by 2050, one in two people in France will suffer from allergies. This concern particularly affects the laundry products sector. (laundry detergents, softeners…), which was recently highlighted by consumer associations due to the frequent presence of problematic ingredients for health, such as allergens and CMR substances (carcinogens, mutagenic or reprotoxic).
