On February 14, stakeholders in the Pays Boeuf sector signed a tripartite agreement between Sica Revia breeders., the processor Sica Viandes Pays and the large retail chains of Reunion Island. This year, the actors of the Boeuf charter are committed to highlighting the professions in the sector : breeders and butchers.
The Boeuf charter reflects the common desire to promote Bœuf Pays brand products from meat cattle farms in Reunion Island.. This approach illustrates the sector's commitments to offering local beef in complete transparency and with a concern for quality research.. Major retail players, are thus committed within the framework of the charter to highlight Bœuf Pays products within their shelves and to highlight their butchers alongside breeders. For the consumer, it is “the assurance of finding quality meat with flawless traceability, produced in responsible farms, on a human scale, by product identification, certificates of origin and traceability of meat ».
In addition, consumers will find QR Codes on the trays referring to recipes, portraits of breeders and industry news on the website www. toutsurleboeufpays.fr. For breeders, the Boeuf charter provides for the promotion of products in all brands on the island. Breeders will sponsor the brands and will be honored as close as possible to consumers.
Ensure continuity of production
For Olivier Robert, president of the Sica Revia, “the actions carried out within the charter by all the players in the sector allow breeders to feel supported and to give the best of their production. We are proud to work with butchers, who are our best ambassadors. These actions will aim to promote the different professions in the sector. : the breeder, the transformer, the butcher, allowing us to give a future to our professions and thus ensure continuity of production. This perseverance, it is that of Bœuf Pays and its stakeholders to advance our sector on a daily basis, our production, our breeders. »
