The young chef Larissa makes Réunion shine

Last November 7 in Paris, chef Larissa Rajaonarivelo won over the jury of the international gastronomic competition La Cuillère d’or.

An announcement made by the Réunion Export Club. The Réunion export club, via its collaborative export group “Intense emotion”, and chef Larissa came together with the aim of promoting Reunion Island on the international scene. This first stage of collaboration turns out to be particularly successful. Selected as a finalist among more than a hundred candidates from around the world, chef Larissa Rajaonarivelo won second place in the Professional Cuisine trophy. His version of quiche – imposed theme – called Île Bourbon, highlighted local products from Reunion Island : curcuma, pineapple Victoria smoked marlin… For its seventh edition, this exclusively female gastronomic competition welcomed a jury chaired by starred chef Ghislaine Arabian, with the help of pastry chef Nina Métayer, Christophe Raoux (Meilleur Ouvrier de France) and other renowned actors of the French culinary scene.
