Active in the cultural sphere, the Orange Foundation continues in Reunion, in partnership with the Mission Locale Sud, a project combining integration assistance and celebration of heritage. The Foundation and the Mission support the Lantant Maloya association which promotes and disseminates Maloya. In 2020, this association launched Maloya discovery workshops with the support of the Orange Foundation. “Young people in the Hauts area do not have access to culture due to their geographical and social situation. With this project, We offer introductory workshops to the instruments and rhythms of Maloya to this public struggling to find employment., co-designed and hosted by Vincent Philéas, teacher in traditional Reunion music” explains Charles Grondin, the president of the Lantant Maloya association.
