Maison Isautier presents its latest addition to the Arranged range : Caramelized mango. Born under the sign of gluttony, this arranged rum combines the exoticism of mango with the sweetness of flowing caramel.
The mango tree (Mangifera indica), originally from India, was introduced to the island in the 18th century by de Guigné de la Bérangerie, infantry officer. Since then, present in Creole gardens, the mango tree has become an important element of the culture and daily life of the Reunionese, both for its fruits and for the shade it provides. It is certainly the most common tropical fruit tree in Reunion Island.. There are multiple varieties of mangoes in our territory : Marie Louise, the Carrot, the American, Dragée, l’Heidi, the Leonardo or even the very famous José mango. Louise Bouilloux, responsable Innovation, research and development of Maison Isautier, worked for a long time on this flavor to seek to enhance its fragrance : “The sweet, rich caramel brings complexity to the mango, it coats the fruit like a candy apple. » And the bet is successful. At nose, the fruitiness of the mango is present at first glance then gives way to the roundness of the caramel. In mouth, notes of cooked fruit, of flowing caramel which remains throughout the tasting.
The Isautier House, pioneer of the Arranged segment
