The historic brand for the maintenance of noble materials La Chatelaine is entering DIY and specialized stores under the aegis of the Briochin company.
Created in 1936, this brand of wax craftsman now belongs to the Breton druggist, known for its expertise in up-to-date cleaning products from yesteryear (it was he who made the French rediscover the virtues of black soap). Reference for cleanliness in general stores, Briochin established itself in DIY and specialized stores in 2018 with
"Maison Briochin"
its range of tailor-made cleaning products. The company adds today
« La Chatelaine »
to its specialized offer with products allowing easy maintenance of the raw materials of the house, interior and exterior : wood, metals, leather and upholstery, PVC, teck… La Chatelaine degreases, cleans, revives, feeds, lustre, protected, makes shine, waterproofs… to take care of the sofas, cushions, cupboards, carpet, parquets, trinkets, silverware, garden Lounge, etc. The recipes for its 13 products have been reworked and enriched based on the brand's historical know-how in order to clean, maintain and enhance materials while respecting them. Guardian of French know-how, the range is made in France, made from perfectly selected quality ingredients, like beeswax, carnauba wax (from the leaves of a palm tree in northeastern Brazil), avocado and cedar oils. Completely redesigned, the range is available in metal boxes and cans (from 250 ml to 1 liter) with a vintage look much appreciated by consumers today, with a different color code for each material : brown for wood, orange for leather and textiles, blue for metals, green for outdoors.
An 85-year legacy
The La Chatelaine brand was created in 1936. So specialist in tapers and candles, she was already committed to a demanding quality approach, using carefully selected ingredients, like beeswax. In the 1980's, La Chatelaine has extended its offer to the maintenance of noble materials such as wood and leather. It quickly established itself as a benchmark for interior care, recognized for making shine and highlighting traditional materials. One of its iconic products being the reviver which "in a brushstroke cleans, revives and gives color to all woods ! » La Chatelaine joined Briochin in 2018 to give itself a new lease of life.
