The family brewery Duvel Moortgat raises its glass to its 150th anniversary by launching its new lager, aromatic, gentle, balanced and… evil, titrating to 6,66% alcohol.
Specialty Belgian lager, refermented in bottle, this new recipe responds to current consumer trends. Devil 6,66% was born in the new micro-brewery in Duvel Moortgat, opened at the end of 2018, in Puurs-Sint-Armands, in Belgium. Its titling with the diabolical combination also refers to the translation of the name Duvel, which means “devil” in Flemish.
100 % blonde, this beer is naturally cloudy, soft and expressive at the same time. Its vibrant and fruity aromas are the result of patient development., to which six varieties of the most refined hops and some orange zest have been added. In bottle and barrel
Devil 6,66% is available in 33 cl bottle and in classic 20 L barrel. An innovation for Duvel which offers for the very first time since 1923 a classic pressure print (other references in the range, having too high a carbon dioxide level, do not allow classic pressure pulling). It can be stored at 5°C, 18 months in bottle and 12 months in barrel. Devil 6,66% completes the range of Duvel beers already made up of classic Duvel, Duvel Tripel Hop Citra et Duvel Tripel Hop Cashmere.
