Street artist Michael Beerens signs a limited edition of two flagship products from the La Baleine brand : cardboard box of fine sea salt and cardboard box of coarse sea salt. Two exclusive editions available in the salt and spices section of supermarkets.
“The Whale Fine Sea Salt by Michael Beerens”, “Coarse sea salt The Whale by Michael Beerens”. these last two creations join the work of the artist, known in particular for having created a monumental fresco on an entire wall of a building, at the port of Toulon in March 2021, and having dressed the Grenoble tramway in 2019 or the St-Tropez lighthouse in 2018 with his creations. After spending a few days on the Aigues-Mortes saltworks in the Camargue, Michael Beerens soaked up the atmosphere to imagine these original editions. Modern, the creations of Michael Beerens resume with elegance, on packaging, the seabed in depth and light. Why this artistic collaboration ? “Because nature is the daily working tool of salt workers, and nature never cheats, it obliges the brand to be irreproachable and to act to safeguard these natural reserves” says the brand La Baleine. For over 80 years, the historic table salt brand offers consumers sea salt of 100% marine origin. Harvested in France, La Baleine salt crystallizes naturally, thanks to the know-how of salt workers which allows this treasure of the sea to be harvested in a natural and ecological way. La Baleine is also engaged in concrete actions for the conservation of fauna and flora., particularly on the Mediterranean salt flats. These values in favor of respect for the marine universe and biodiversity met the committed artist Michael Beerens for whom “it is a way of touching people “at the table” in their daily lives”.
