A few months after the success of its plant-based chicken nuggets, the Barcelona start-up specializing in plant-based meat announces the release of two new chicken-based products, the Long Supreme Filet and the Breaded Escalope, which expand Heura’s already varied plant portfolio.
Heura Breaded Escalope is a crunchy and juicy piece with a good chicken taste. The Long Filet Suprême is a crispy vegetable chicken steak with a hint of black pepper, perfect for a quick meal on the go. At the crossroads of nutrition, sustainability and culinary excellence, Heura called on its R team&Peak D, les « Tech Rebels », to create these two new 100% plant-based chicken batters. Protein popular with the French, Chicken is also one of the most consumed foods around the world. : more than 50 billion chickens are raised for consumption each year, “with a heavy environmental impact and a devastating toll in terms of animal cruelty”, recalls Marc Coloma, co-founder and CEO of Heura. “Engaged in a process of accelerating the plant transition, we use innovation to develop plant-based options that are just as delicious as the original recipes. Our research has shown that the breaded segment represents almost 20% of the total existing plant-based products.. It is therefore quite natural that we chose to launch two new breaded chicken, so that consumers can continue to enjoy their favorite dishes without compromising on their health, respect for the environment and animal welfare. »
