The increase in interest rates is spread across all categories of business credit, notes the IÉDOM in its latest quarterly press release, covering the 1st quarter of 2023. The average interest rate for new equipment loans increases by 86 basis points (pdb) between October 2022 and January 2023. Over a year, it increased by 170 bps. The average interest rate on new maturing cash credits jumps by 220 bps (4,67% in January 2023). The average interest rate for overdrafts also increased sharply over the quarter (+258 pdb). The rise in interest rates also concerns individuals, even if it is less strong than in mainland France. The average rate for new personal loans and other consumer credit increases by 63 basis points between the 4th quarter of 2022 and the 1st quarter of 2023. It now stands at 4,49% and remains 49 bps lower than that observed in France as a whole. The average rate of home loans increases by 50 bps (1,97% in the 1st quarter of 2023). It is located, him too, below the national average level (2,20 %) and that of the other DOMs.
