La French Tech La Réunion affirmed its commitment to gender equality by organizing two workshops dedicated to parity, September 1 and October 6. The association highlights initiatives aimed at promoting parity within the technology industry, where women are underrepresented. It relays a national project initiated by French Tech France and which asks start-ups to reach at least a threshold of 20% women sitting on the company’s board by 2025 then 40% in 2028. It also encourages training 100% of managers on diversity issues as well as the fight against discrimination and harassment., and demands a guarantee that all published job descriptions are intended for both women and men. La French Tech also encourages company spokespersons to be made up of an equal team and the establishment of specific support for employees when they return from parental leave.. La French Tech La Réunion encourages all players in the ecosystem to participate in its workshops : entrepreneurs, investors, professionals in the sector or simple technology enthusiasts.
