As part of the deployment of the “France Relance” plan presented by the Government at the beginning of September, eight first winners of the industrial investment acceleration fund in the territories have been selected in Overseas Territories. Eight projects under the sign of modernization and industrial ecological transition.
These first eight winning projects represent more than 5,7 million euros in grants for a total of more than 26,2 million euros of productive investments, with the creation of more than 50 jobs. "Overseas territories benefit from all the support measures for businesses" recalls the Minister of Overseas Territories, Sébastien Lecornu who explains that “these first projects are intended to be followed by others in 2021 and 2022, which will be added to 1,5 billion euros earmarked for Overseas Territories. I invite overseas companies that have development projects to apply, as soon as possible, to these calls for projects. » At least 1,5 billion euros will in fact be devoted by the end of 2022 to projects in overseas territories. Eight inter-municipal authorities in Guyana, from Guadeloupe, of Martinique and Reunion already benefit from the national program "Territories of industry" to support, in connection with the Regions-Communities, territorial action plans led by elected officials and industrial players mobilized at the local level.
Industry, stimulus lever
Given the weight of the agri-food sectors, construction, energies, new technologies or space. industry is a strong lever for the revival of economic activity at the national level. To allow industrial companies to bounce back from the crisis, the Deputy Minister for Industry Agnès Pannier-Runnacher announced, as part of "France Relance", the launch of the industrial investment acceleration fund in the regions, endowed with 400 million euros by 2022.
"The Industrial Investment Acceleration Fund in the Territories allows, concretely and today, to relocate strategic and job-creating activities to our regions. These first effects of the recovery plan in the overseas territories are the result of a mobilization on the ground, in perfect collaboration between state services and those of the communities involved, whose work I applaud in recent weeks "underlines the Minister for Industry.
