Green fund : five winning Porto projects

Unprecedented system with two billion euros of credits deployed by prefects, the Green Fund is intended to finance projects presented by local authorities and their public or private partners in three areas : environmental performance, adaptation of the territory to climate change and improvement of the living environment. Five Porto projects were selected in this context and earned the mayor of the town, Olivier Hoarau, to be received in July at the Ministry of Ecological Transition. The most important (630,000 euros grant) concerns the rehabilitation of the municipal sports complex, which will make it possible to do without air conditioning and save 19% of electricity consumption. Other projects, who will benefit from a total of 691,000 euros in state subsidies, relate to the rehabilitation of the house showing the housing improvement work, continued development of the wooded park, the development of the banks of the Rivière des Galets and the restoration of gardens.
