Announced by the government in August 2022, the Green Fund, or Fund for accelerating the ecological transition in the territories, is operational in Reunion. On a national level, the Green Fund will be allocated 2 billion euros from the State in 2023, completed by 1,2 billion from the Banque des Territoires. The envelope allocated by the State to Reunion amounts to 22,69 million euros, which could be supplemented by credits from the Banque des Territoires. Projects corresponding to the three axes of the Green Fund may be supported : environmental performance, adaptation to climate change and improvement of the living environment. A support book for assembling files is available on the website www.aides-territoires.fr. Communities, priority recipients of the Green Fund, will also benefit from engineering support. Funding requests can be submitted each month, from March 15 to October 15, 2023.
