The Nancy-based online accounting start-up clementine.fr reveals the impressive figures of its projections : 20 million euros in annual recurring revenue (ARR) in 2023, 26 million in 2024 and 102 million in 2029. More than 150 recruitments are planned by 2025 to reach 800 employees in 2029.
Created in 2012 by William Boiché and his father Jean-Louis Boiché, clementine.fr is a digital accounting firm, coupled with human support, which allows entrepreneurs, artisans, TPE-PME, traders and liberal professions to outsource their administrative costs, in order to concentrate on their activity. The company has a team of more than 250 employees based in Nancy., Paris, Marseille, Nice and Épinal. Clementine.fr enters a new stage of its development by joining the French Tech family of zebra* start-ups. “Clementine.fr has an incredible history : a profitable regional French start-up in its first year of operation, created by a father and his son. Eleven years later, its leading position in the online accounting market is obvious. Without any fundraising, we have recorded 30% growth every year since our creation and we are on this same trend in 2023 and 2024. So, we have already reached more than 20 million euros of ARR in 2023 and our forecasts are 26 million by the end of 2024. From zebra to centaur
The development of clementine.fr was achieved without any external investment and thanks to measured management of its self-financing. “The online accounting market is booming. We are only at the beginning of the announced revolution, just as we knew it for online banking in its time. It took more than twenty years of development for the market to reach maturity. We all have in mind the example of Boursorama, Nancy company too ! Our sustainable growth is accelerating thanks to a buoyant market and due to our technological positioning and our financial structuring. In six years, our estimated recurring annual revenue will be more than 102 million euros and will make clementine.fr a centaur**. To achieve this goal, we will massively recruit new talents, i.e. more than 800 employees spread across five major French cities and certainly in new regions”, comments William Boiché.
A societal objective associated with a sustainable business model
In 2021, clementine.fr launched a commitment program called Smile Your Planet, inspired by ecological actions implemented internally. To guide entrepreneurs in more sustainable management of their company, this charter is therefore, in addition to being applied internally, offered to companies wishing to become more responsible.
