The prefecture has modified the schedule of pre-electoral procedures, with a view to new elections of members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, following the cancellation of the previous vote by the administrative court. Difficulties were indeed noted in the preparation of the list of voters, including businesses created since the closing of the previous electoral list, August 27, 2021. The registries of the commercial courts of Saint-Denis and Saint-Pierre were unable to carry out this updating task on time., the services of the CCI Réunion were asked to take over. The final list of voters must be published between March 28 and 30 and the period for collecting declarations of candidacy is set for April 5 to 7 at noon at the prefecture.. Voting will take place electronically from May 4 to 17. Three lists should compete. Ineligible, former president Ibrahim Patel trusted Pierrik Robert to lead the Federation list, to which Capeb has remained faithful. This is not the case for the CPME, which joined forces with Medef to constitute a list led by Pascal Plante and which obtained the support of several professional organizations (Adir, FRBTP, Umih, Digital Meeting…). Unlucky candidates in the previous election, Myriam Boullay – at the origin of the legal action which eliminated Ibrahim Patel from the race – and Bruno Cohen have for their part decided to form a joint list.
