After two weeks of closure, the Saint-Benoît store reopened its doors on June 13, more modern thanks to an enriched offer, new services and a strong environmental approach. This pilot store announces the modernization of all E.Leclerc Expresses in Reunion.
We are very happy and very proud to inaugurate the new version of the E.Leclerc Express in Saint-Benoît, because it heralds a new era for all the E.Leclerc Expresses on the island”, explained Pascal Thiaw Kine, president of the E.Leclerc Réunion Movement, in front of the mayor of Saint- Benedict, Patrice Selly, the partners and collaborators of the E.Leclerc Réunion Movement. The new decoration of the 1000 m2 store gives a more modern tone to the store. The offer is enriched by the increase in the number of references and a better stocked fruit and vegetable section.. Another notable novelty, the E.Leclerc Express of Saint-Benoît gives pride of place to the food industry (with a snack offer for example). Also note the opening of a drive, a service appreciated in local stores.
A responsible business model
The store implements measures intended to reduce waste and food waste which have proven successful in other E.Leclerc stores on the island. : corners Zero-Waste anti-waste baskets (five fruits and vegetables from Réunion origin per week at low prices), activities around sorting and waste management with Cirest, partnerships with the Mascarene food bank, neighborhood associations or the CCAS of Saint-André. It also offers recycling solutions with the installation of the first collector B:bot of plastic bottles from the East and a clothing collection point installed in partnership with the Ti Tang Récup association.
