Dyson hair care technologies get a new holiday look inspired by ceramic, a smooth, durable material used in industry to protect from exposure to extreme heat.
Launched for the end of year celebrations, these new versions are available on all Dyson hair care tools. The new limited edition periwinkle blue and rosy offers a porcelain-like texture. This is the result of precisely applied top coats of satin paint. Dry to the touch, the final result was achieved after numerous rounds of experimentation — designed to evoke the silky, smooth finish of unglazed ceramic. These qualities 
heat protection also matches Dyson SupersonicTM intelligent heat control technology, Dyson AirwrapTM and Dyson CorraleTM, which prevents exposure to extreme heat during styling. Each of these devices is equipped with a glass bead thermostat that measures temperature up to 100 times per second, so as not to cause irreversible thermal damage. By imitating ceramic with this finish, Dyson engineers explore for the first time what finishes could lend themselves to fully molded parts, where the color is integrated rather than applied to the material.
