A charismatic design
With a reference width of 1,83 meter and very large wheels of 720 millimeters for a compact length of 4,40 meters and a roof height contained at 1,47 meter, the dimensions are impressive with remarkable presence. The front face is marked by a new light signature. The DS Matrix Led Vision system combines matrix and directional lights, accompanied by daytime running lights composed of two lines of LEDs on each side. The DS Wings link the headlights to the grille. This is composed, depending on the version, of a two-part structure. Above, the long styling hood gives momentum which energizes the silhouette. In back, the roof stretches to descend very low on a particularly inclined rear window. DS 4 Cross plays on the visual perception of an SUV with treatment of the lower part of the shields highlighted by specific protection and a matte black color. The trunk volume reaches 430 liters. More dynamic, DS 4 Performance Line offers a black exterior finish with a black pack and characteristic black rims, in addition to an exclusive interior. Seven shades are available, including two new products: Gold Copper, Lacquered Gray, which are added to the other shades : Cristal Pearl, Platinum Gray, Rouge Velvet, Pearly White, and Black Perla Nera.

DS 4 presents a digital interior, fluid and ergonomic with intuitive integration of each element, both for its function and for its style. Fluidity driven by innovations. With DS AIR, invisible aerator, an innovative ventilation system (central vents very compact in height and equipped with invisible fins). AUGMENTED TECHNOLOGY
Based on a profound evolution of the EMP2 platform with 70% new or exclusive parts, DS 4 offers plug-in hybrid technology from launch.
Developed for DS 4, the new evolution of the EMP2 platform introduces new parts in composite materials reducing mass. When it comes to security, this development meets the latest, strictest regulatory and consumer shock standards. The notion of dynamic serenity dear to DS Automobiles is further accentuated with the use of technical solutions such as welding and completely redesigned steering and ground connection elements.. Environmental side, DS 4 features 95% reusable materials and 85% recyclable parts. 30% of the mass is made from renewable or recycled materials, divided between metals and polymers. When it comes to connectivity, the priority was to offer standard solutions from the heart of the Trocadéro range, so that the driver no longer has to take their eyes off the road. Expanded Head-Up Display delivers a cutting-edge visual experience that takes the first step toward augmented reality. Via new immersive technology, the information essential for driving is directly projected onto the road. By an optical effect, data is displayed four meters in front of the windshield. So the essential information, like speed, driving aids, navigation and alert messages or even the song he is listening to or the call he receives are found as projected on the road. DS Drive Assist, launched on the latest DS and which allows level 2 semi-autonomous driving (highest level of what is authorized today on the roads), is present on DS 4 : speed depending on traffic, ability to stop and start in traffic jams. DS 4 will receive a major evolution of this system in early 2022 (DS Drive Assist 2.0 ) with three new features : semi-automatic overtaking, adapting the speed in curves and recommending the speed of traffic signs in advance. Other technology that stands out from the competition : DS Night Vision. The system provides better visibility of the road and its dangers.
A Formula E champion E-TENSE engine
In its plug-in hybrid version, DS 4 E-TENSE 225 inherits the expertise of DS Performance and its four titles (Drivers and Teams) acquired in the 2019 and 2020 Formula E Championship. This engine is based on a 180 horsepower 4-cylinder PureTech engine and a 110 horsepower electric machine coupled to a battery with a total capacity of 12,4 kWh, and which allows it to reach up to 55 km in the WLTP combined cycle). The torque of 360 Nm allows you to reach 100 km/h in 7,7 seconds for a consumption of only 1,3 liters per 100 km and emissions from 29 grams of CO2 per km (in WLTP combined cycle). Three PureTech 130 Automatic petrol engines, PureTech 180 Automatic and PureTech 225 Automatic and a BlueHDi 130 Automatic Diesel offer are also in the catalog with consumption starting from 4,8 liters per 100 km in Diesel and 5,9 liters per 100 km in gasoline and CO2 emissions (125 g/km a Diesel and 135 g/km an essence) particularly competitive in the face of competition. DS 4 will benefit from a 100% electric engine in 2024 with the arrival of new technologies (motorization and battery).
