French Bee took delivery of its second A350-1000 on December 9, left the Airbus manufacturing lines in Toulouse. The first was put online on December 18, 2021 between Paris and Reunion. The A350-1000 is a large capacity aircraft (480 seats, including 40 in Premium class) particularly suited to the Indian Ocean line. Combining new generation engines, advanced aerodynamics and the use of lightweight materials, it offers a 25% reduction in fuel consumption, operating costs and carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) compared to previous generation competing devices. Its aerodynamics include unique wing shape-changing technology, ensuring continuous optimization of the sail profile to reduce drag and fuel consumption. Likewise, French Bee announces “the quietest twin-aisle cabin : five decibels lower than competitive devices and up to nine decibels lower at the front of the cabin, i.e. four times less noise pollution”. The Dubreuil Aéro group company is banking on the carrying capacity of the A350-1000, larger than that of the A350-900s it currently operates, and on the consumption performance of the device to be even more competitive in Paris-Réunion where it holds 20% market share.
