Déclics Numériques is a short and free program designed by the Diversidays association to help job seekers and people undergoing professional retraining to enter digital professions and seize the opportunities offered by AI. Its opening in Reunion, in partnership with France Travail and French Tech, took place on November 27 from the Village by CA.
The recruitment needs of Reunion tech find a first response with Diversidays, national reference association for equal opportunities, which launches the first edition of Déclics Numériques in Reunion. This program, 100% online and free, aims to facilitate professional retraining and access to professions in digital pressure. While the unemployment rate in the third quarter of 2024 in Reunion stands at 19% of the active population, the digital sector on the island currently represents 1,8% of market employment and is growing rapidly, with nearly 3,500 employees spread across 500 establishments. This sector is actively recruiting, with 1,350 annual hires (including one in two on permanent contract), concentrated in telecommunications, programming and IT consulting. Déclics Numériques could thus contribute to meeting these needs.
A high-impact program
This edition takes place online from November 27 to December 6, offering an intensive skills-building course with around thirty workshops spread over ten days. The program is free and does not affect the rights of job seekers. Since its launch, Déclics Numériques has supported more than 13,000 job seekers and people undergoing retraining. According to an impact study carried out by the France Travail statistics department, within 18 months of their participation, 40% of beneficiaries pursue training and 62% obtain lasting employment.
