There were crowds and excitement from the first minutes of opening of the new Decathlon store in Saint-Denis. Proof that Decathlon was expected in the North region, previously not served by the specialized large-scale distribution brand operated overseas by the GBH group. The Decathlon store in Saint-Denis offers 5,000 m² of sales area, an intermediate surface between the 3,000 m² of the Decathlon in Sainte-Suzanne and the 6,200 m² of that of Saint-Pierre. Many people came to discover the range of sporting and leisure articles which cover all land activities., sea and air which are practiced in Reunion. And it is therefore part of the initial project for a large sports center to the east of Saint-Denis which is being realized. : the Primat Indoor Center project. This set was presented, two years ago, by the mayor of Saint-Denis in person, Gilbert Annette, in the presence of Michel Lapeyre, Managing Director Indian Ocean and Africa of the GBH group. La Sodiac, mixed economy company specializing in urban development and construction of social housing, is the project owner. The sports business will be complemented by a closed multi-leisure center (indoor) nearing completion. This will include a restaurant and a cafeteria., both with terrace, a covered bowling alley with 10 tracks which can host international competitions, a climbing wall, a fitness area, as well as a leisure sports area for gamers. Two parking lots, one outside, the second placed under the Indoor Center, are already in service.
