Cyclea, the company in charge of waste treatment in the West, launched an awareness campaign against animal wandering at the end of August, problem she faces daily.
It also manages the Cambaie intercommunal pound., and its agents also have the mission of picking up animal corpses on the road and capturing animals considered to be strays, before returning them to their owners when the latter are identifiable, which is not always the case.
October 4, on World Animal Day, Cycléa has planned a ceremony for its employees and those of partner companies who agreed to adopt a stray animal during the campaign at the end of August. In partnership with the Association for Animal Welfare Education (Abeba), Cyclea calls on all businesses on the island to commit to preventing wandering and animal abuse. “Treat your pet well, identifying and sterilizing it are basic acts of decorum on our territory, very impacted by the issue of insecurity linked to starving animals left to their own devices”, comments Laurent Blériot, general director of Cyclea.
