French start-up founded in 2018 by Corinne Gondouin and Mike Rothmann, two digital marketing experts, tightR intends to democratize the marketplace landscape by developing the first SAAS tool to create a multi-brand e-shop in 15 minutes, risk-free and stock-free.
100,000 products available and more than 900 brands listed : after a first fundraising in 2020, tightR aims to launch more than 1,500 stores and list 1,000 brands by the end of the year, supported in particular by a new round of funding by the end of October. A new fundraising campaign is being prepared for the first quarter of 2023. Today, tightR positions itself as the reference provider on turnkey marketplaces offering SaaS “scalability”, l’intuitivité du plug and play, the promise of a powerful and efficient tool to respond to digital challenges. Tomorrow, tightR wants to become the reference in the use of social networks in the search for new customers, le social selling, in the world.
The foundations of a dynamic market
The brand has become a media in its own right, referral marketing (referral marketing) is an essential part of the purchasing process, social selling is growing strongly. Marketplaces, they, are growing strongly : 2,7 billion dollars in turnover in 2020 (+ 63 %), which is expected to reach $7 billion in 2024 (source : Marketplace Pulse 2021). 64% of users have already made a purchase on social networks in 2021. Which today generates 429 billion dollars, a figure that evolves exponentially (source : Accenture). Finally, influencer marketing market size is 13,8 billion dollars and expected to reach 15 billion dollars by the end of 2022 (source : HubSpot). All types of businesses must adapt to the natural hegemony of the Internet and therefore strengthen brand marketing. With this observation, the idea of creating a marketplace to become the Internet user’s only touchpoint becomes obvious : we capitalize on an engaged audience, a targeted target, its active and dynamic community.
Innovation serving democratization
“Creating your shop on tightR means sharing your world in 360° with your community, his lifestyle, ses bons plans, ses inspirations. Hence the name tight (tight, close in English), closer, more connected to its community. We decided to create tightR to democratize the creation of marketplaces. We offer a new solution, accessible et simple, to generate regular income through online sales, risk-free and stock-free. This concerns very diverse customer profiles : entrepreneurs, influencers, celebrities, sportsmen, marques, media, associations… and also millions of profiles that we consider in the marketing world as micro-influencers”, explain Mike Rothmann and Corinne Gondoin. Creating a tightR e-shop requires no investment in merchandise, in storage and shipping. These are the partner sellers, carefully selected, who offer their products for sale, send the packages and manage after-sales service. “While it has become very easy to create a showcase site or an e-shop, it is complex and expensive to create your own marketplace — it takes between 50,000 and 100,000 euros per year, just for technology”, argue the two founders of tightR.
