People Density Calculator (PDC) is an automated people counting system for mass distribution and commerce. This system complies with GDPR requirements.
Designed by Terabbee, company specializing in movement digitization, PDC is an automated system for counting entries and exits in stores or other places. The system thus calculates the occupancy rate and indicates whether people can enter or whether they must wait.. An automated display device is placed at the entrance to the store. It allows you to manage the incoming flow of visitors while respecting density rules..
A control interface provides information on the elements determining the maximum authorized density. It indicates the surface area of the store, building or area and the applicable density rules following social distancing. Then the system takes care of everything. Signals “green lights” are automatically displayed at the entrance to the store on large format screens. The flow of customer traffic is therefore completely automated.
For public places
The People Density Calculator was designed for all places open to the public : grandes surfaces, stores, restaurants, bars… The technology used does not require a significant level of lighting. PDC is therefore also suitable for places such as restaurants and bars where the lighting level is subtle. The device is fully GDPR compliant : no picture, no capture of data that could identify a person. The PDC system cannot capture data that could be used to establish a person’s identity.
The system is completely autonomous. It does not require a connection with an already existing IT infrastructure. Counting accuracy is 98%, which is much more efficient than manual counting.
Employees at the installation location have information in real time : counting, density, entrées, sorties, .. Information that makes it possible to optimize a commercial promotion policy in real time while respecting health regulations, and thus maximize the use of the site. On their side, customers receive clear and visual information. This reassures them about the health seriousness of the site and demonstrates that their health is taken seriously..
