The Corsair company will open its Lyon-Marseille-Réunion line on June 21, twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays from mainland France. These flights departing from the province will be scheduled at times that facilitate connections, at Roland-Garros airport, for passengers to and from Mayotte. They will be operated by Airbus A330-900neo, the first copy of which entered the Corsair fleet on March 31. Four more will follow in the coming months. After the inaugural commercial flight of the first “neo”, operated on April 15 in Paris–Pointe-à-Pitre, the new Airbuses are expected in the Indian Ocean from May. The company, whose capital is now controlled by a group of overseas investors, mostly West Indian, is already promoting these new generation devices. Trent Rolls-Royce engines provide significant fuel and carbon emissions savings., but also a reduction in sound level. The cabin is presented as “the least noisy in its category”. It is arranged in three classes with a higher number of front seats than on Corsair's current A330s. : 20 a Business and 21 a Premium, for 311 in Economics.
